At Bonney Lake Family Eye Care, we offer a wide variety of services including the treatment of urgent conditions. Dr. Kaur is residency and fellowship trained to diagnose and/or treat eye emergencies.
Here is a list of few symptoms that warrant a call to our office:
In most cases, it is best to call your eye doctor if you are experiencing an eye emergency instead of going to urgent care or an emergency room. Some emergency rooms or urgent care facilities may not be equipped with appropriate diagnostic equipment to properly examine the eye which can result in misdiagnosis and delay in care. Most urgent care facilities will have you follow-up with your eye doctor anyways, so it saves you money from spending hundreds of dollars on urgent care bills.
Eye emergency constitutes as sudden changes in vision, flashes or black spots (floaters) in vision, sudden onset of eye pain or double vision. If you have a contact lens stuck in your eye, wood pieces or metal shavings or feels like a foreign object under the eyelid, make sure to give us a call.
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above during normal business hours, call us immediately! Dr. Kaur or one of our technicians will be able to let you know if your symptoms require immediate attention or get you scheduled appropriately. If you are an existing patient of Bonney Lake Family Eye Care, we may be able to schedule a Telemedicine Virtual Appointment.
