Celebrate Safely! Happy 4th July

Hope you all had a wonderful week and are getting ready to spend some quality time with your family and loved ones. I’ve been busy this week updating our social media pages and connecting with the local Bonney Lake community. I appreciate everyone who gave me their feedback regarding services, hours and insurances so I can better serve the needs of the community.

The eye doctor in me can’t help but take this opportunity to educate you on importance of handling fireworks safely! According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s most recent report, fireworks caused five deaths and 9,100 injuries in 2018. 19% of fireworks injuries were eye injuries.

  • If you are handling fireworks this year, make sure to keep them away from children and remember to wear your safety goggles to protect your eyes.

  • Sparklers can burn as hot as 3,000 degree F!

  • If you are spending time outdoors, don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses.

The best way you can avoid a potentially blinding fireworks injury is by not handling fireworks at home but to attend a professional, public firework show.

Next week, I am excited to share the office design scope =) I wanted the office design/atmosphere to be modern, clean and inviting. I can’t wait for you all to see it!

Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
